| Paula Deen cookware is manufactured by Farberware which has been around since 1900. The company was created by S.W. Farber who started out by making bowls and vases by pounding out sheets of copper and brass. He was one of the early innovators of combining different metals together which is basically how all cookware s manufactured today.
As technology grew the company tried to stay on the leading edge by introducing cookware using the same concept of combining metals to create more even heating and durability into their cookware as well as making it affordable.
The Paula Deen line of cookware has a few different styles and materials, they are as follows:
Paula Deen “Inside and Out” cookware
This line is made with pressed aluminum which is what most aluminum cookware on the market today is made out of. It is light weight and heats evenly.
The nonstick coating covers the inside as well as the outside to make cleaning easy.
The phenolic dual riveted handles make for sturdy construction and provide for a comfortable secure grip. The copper plated rings at the end of the handles make hanging them easy.
The tempered glass lids allow you to see the food cooking without losing any valuable heat and the copper plated knobs add a sophisticated look to the cookware.
The line is oven safe up to 350 degrees and is dishwasher safe but as with all nonstick surfaces, I recommend hand washing with warm soapy water and a non abrasive scrubber.
Paula Deen Stainless Steel Cookware
Paula Deen stainless steel cookware features a full cap aluminum and copper base for even heating that eliminates hot spots.
The stainless steel construction is made from the basic chromium and nickel alloys. The chromium provides rust and corrosion resistance and durability. Nickel provides additional rust resistance, hardness, and high polishing characteristics.
The dual riveted handles provide for strength and durability and the line has comfortable, sure grip handles with polished copper plated rings for hanging.
This cookware has see through lids to monitor your food and stylish polished copper knobs. Safe for all cook tops.
It is oven safe up to 350 degrees and is dishwasher safe.
Paula Deen Porcelain Cookware
Paula Deen porcelain cookware has the same construction as the stainless steel line but has an outside porcelain finish and features a nonstick interior for easy clean up.
The porcelain finish is essentially a highly durable glass that is fused to the stainless steel that adds even heating throughout as well as a very stylish look.
This line also features dual riveted handles for durability and the soft, sure grip handles with the polished copper rings for easy hanging.
It is not dishwasher safe due to the nonstick interior and porcelain exterior but cleans easily with warm soapy water and a non abrasive scrubber. |
